Lassana Coulibaly is on loan at Scottish Premiership powerhouses Rangers from Ligue 1 outfit Angers.

Rangers fans are used to welcoming a raft of new signings to the club every summer and it seems the 2019 transfer window might be no different.
Back in February, talkSPORT pointed out that Rangers are among the clubs interested in Maritimo midfielder Josip Vukovic. Speaking to Vitez, he admitted there is a £3.4million release clause in his contract.
A 26-year-old Croatian who moved to Portugal last year from Olimpia Donetsk, Vukovic is obviously far from a household name in Glasgow but it does not take long to realise what he would offer to Steven Gerrard’s side.
Vukovic is a tough tackling and hard-working defensive midfielder who averages 1.9 interceptions and 2 tackles per game in the Primeira Liga, suggesting that he could provide a sheet of steel in front of an often shaky Gers back line.

With Lassana Coulibaly expected to return to Angers once his loan spell in Scotland comes to an end, the Frenchman having featured in just one of Rangers’ last six Scottish Premiership games, Vukovic looks like a ready-made replacement.
Rangers have a whole host of dynamic box-to-box midfielders but a genuine stopper like Vukovic could make Gerrard’s side far harder to play against.
