Yohan Benalouane only joined Championship club Nottingham Forest in January but is the defender heading to Turkey already?

Yohan Benalouane could be on his way out of Nottingham Forest before the end of the month, with Ajansspor claiming that 19-time Super Lig champions Fenerbahce are keen to raid Sabri Lamouchi’s squad.
The 32-year-old only moved to the City Ground in January after a forgettable spell at Leicester City and immediately earned fan favourite status thanks to a winner against bitter rivals Derby County.
But, just three games into Lamouchi’s tenure, is Benalouane facing an uncertain future in the East Midlands?
The Tunisian international has missed the first few weeks of the season with injury and, in his absence, Joe Worrall and Michael Dawson appear to have formed an impressive understanding at centre-half. That is without mentioning Alexander Milosevic and Tobias Figueiredo too.
And with Lamouchi keen to trim down a bloated squad that barely fit on the back of Leeds’ match-day programme before Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Elland Road, could Benalouane be sacrificed?

According to reports in Turkey, the former St Etienne and Atalanta stopper is a target for a Fenerbahce side who are determined to bring in a new central defender before the transfer window slams shut at the end of August.
Benalouane might have been a big hit at Forest in his first few months in the famous red shirt. But with a new manager at the helm and so many other defenders jostling for a place in the squad, could Benalouane’s City Ground career be coming to an end already?
