Premier League outfit West Ham United are reportedly set to make Vitoria Guimaraes forward Xande Silva their eighth summer signing.

West Ham United could complete their eighth signing of a very promising summer on Wednesday.
According to Record on Tuesday, The Hammers have agreed a deal to sign the 21-year-old Vitoria Guimaraes forward Xande Silva. It is reported that the Portuguese youngster will move to the London Stadium for a fee of around £3 million.
And it seems that the move has developed further since.
O Jogo are reporting that Silva said goodbye to his Vitoria team-mates yesterday and is now travelling to London for a medical as his move to West Ham edges closer. It is reported that he will sign a contract until 2021.
Interestingly, however, the report adds that Silva had a release clause of £13 million with the Primeira Liga outfit. But he was not part of coach Luis Castro’s plans, having made the majority of his appearances last season with the B team.

This explains why Vitoria are willing to let Silva go for far less than his release clause.
Though West Ham, now coached by Manuel Pellegrini, have obviously seen something in the Iberian talent that Guimaraes did not.
Xande Silva will join his compatriot Domingos Quina at the London Stadium, should the 19-year-old sign a new deal.
