Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in Franck Kessie.

Reports coming out of Italy on Tuesday afternoon are claiming that Wolverhampton Wanderers are prepared to pay £36 million for a young AC Milan star. But it is not Andre Silva this time.
Instead Sky Italia are stating that Wolves have tried to lure Franck Kessie to Molineux before the transfer window shuts in what would have been their most expensive ever signing.
Kessie, like Silva, moved to the San Siro last summer but, where the Portuguese striker struggled, the Ivorian midfielder shone. The 21-year-old started all but one of Milan’s Serie A games, scoring five goals and producing three assists from the centre of midfield.
In fact, Kessie was so impressive that Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso, who was not a bad midfielder himself in his playing days, said that the youngster is ‘far better than I ever was’, in quotes reported by Mediaset.

Fortunately for Gattuso, then, Kessie has no interest in leaving the club he joined from Atalanta a year ago.
It is reported that Wolves’ Premier League rivals Everton had also made an enquiry, as had Atletico Madrid, but a player who has been likened to Ivorian legend Yaya Toure is happy where he is.
Kessie currently has a contract until 2022 but Sky added that he was keen to sign improved terms. Wolves and Everton, then, should be prepared to be disappointed.
