Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly still want to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Premier League champions Manchester City.

It has been over a month now since Wolverhampton Wanderers launched a £16 million bid to sign Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko, according to Sky Sports.
Since then, however, there has been little indication that the Ukranian international is keen on leaving the Premier League champions for the ambitious newcomers. Zinchenko himself, in quotes reported by the Mirror, admitted that he wanted to remain part of Pep Guardiola’s squad going forward.
But it seems that Wolves have not accepted defeat just yet.
Latest reports from the Express and Star claim that Wolves are due to speak with Zinchenko today as they aim to finally convince him of a move to Molineux. The 21-year-old was left out of Manchester City’s squad for the Community Shield win against Chelsea on Sunday.

He made just 16 appearances in all competitions for City last season, most coming at left-back. But with Benjamin Mendy returning to full fitness and Guardiola keen to sign a back-up for Fernandinho, Zinchenko will surely find first-team opportunities even harder to come by in 2018/19.
Which is why Wolves, who have reportedly agreed a deal in principle, would perhaps be a good move at this stage of his career.
Zinchenko, however, is unlikely to become Wolves’ record signing with Adama Traore joining for £18 million from Middlesbrough.
