Report: Wolves will only sign Hull's Abel Hernandez if Benik Afobe leaves

Abel Hernandez will leave Championship club Hull City with Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers one of the clubs linked.

Who knows where Abel Hernandez will be playing his football next season? The only certainty appears to be that he will not be at Hull City.

It is understood, via Leeds Live, that Hernandez is set to leave the KCom Stadium when his contract has expired this summer and is considering an offer from Leeds United, although it is understood that Aston Villa are also interested.

Tuttomercatoweb, however, reported recently that Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen to hand the former Palermo striker the chance to prove himself in the Premier League next season and have even put a £2.5 million-a-year contract on the table.

It is understood that Wolves would only make a move for Hernandez should it be decided that Benik Afobe would not make his loan move from Bournemouth permanent.

Afobe returned to Wolves for a second spell in January and he netted six goals in seven starts to fire them to the Championship title.
