Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Nicolas Lopez as Nuno Espirito Santo looks to add depth in attack ahead of the 2019/20 season, as reported by the Birmingham Mail.

Wolves have enjoyed a dream return to the Premier League and look set to break their transfer record in the coming days with Raul Jimenez set to make his loan move from Benfica permanent for a club record fee of £30 million, as reported by the BBC.

The Mexican international has scored 12 goals in the English top flight this season.

And Jimenez could be joined at Molineux by Lopez if the Birmingham Mail is to be believed. A 25-year-old Uruguayan striker, Lopez is playing in Brazil for Internacional and he has scored three goals in three games already this season.

He also netted 11 times in the 2018 campaign, having moved to Internacional for £3.4 million after spells in Italy with Udinese and Roma.

The Mail claims that Wolves watched Lopez in action against Boca Juniors this week and he is rather unfairly nicknamed El Conejo or ‘The Rabbit’ because of his rather prominent front teeth.

Could he add a bit of bite to Wolves’ attack?
