Gedson Fernandes could be the next Portugal international to sign for Premier League high-flyers Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing another of Portugal’s exciting new generation this summer with Gedson Fernandes attracting admiring glances from Molineux, as reported by A Bola.
The 20-year-old has forced his way into Benfica’s starting XI this season and continues to impress at the Estadio da Luz, making 39 appearances in all competitions.
Gedson has even won two caps for the senior Portugal team, having won the UEFA European U17 Championships with the Iberian nation back in 2016.
And reports from A Bola are claiming that the youngster could soon join compatriots Joao Moutinho, Rui Patricio, Diogo Jota, Ruben Vinagre and Helder Costa in the Black Country.

Wolves have sent scouts to watch Gedson on numerous occasions this season with the deep-lying midfielder identified as a potential replacement for the coveted Ruben Neves (above), who continues to attract interest after a fine debut season in the Premier League.
Gedson has a £102 million release clause in his contract but A Bola believes that Benfica would be willing to sell for around £35 million. That fee would make the Sao Tome-born talent Wolves’ new record signing.
