Daniel Podence could reportedly be on his way to the Premier League with Wolverhampton Wanderers after one season in Greece with Olympiakos.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen to sign yet another Jorge Mendes client this summer with OIympiakos forward Daniel Podence on their radar, according to Greek publication FosOnline.

Molineux stars Diogo Jota, Rui Patricio, Helder Costa, Joao Moutinho, Ivan Cavaleiro and Ruben Neves are all represented by Mendes’s influential Gestifute agency, with Wolves snapping up some of Portugal’s most exciting talents in recent seasons.

And FosOnline believes that Podence could add to the Iberian contingent in the Black Country. Wolves were interested in signing the 23-year-old before he left Sporting Lisbon for Olympiakos last summer but a move to the Premier League could be on the cards 12 months on.

The skilful winger has been a big hit in Piraeus, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists while starring as Olympiakos beat Burnley in the Europa League play-offs back in August.

Mendes could now be keen to land his client a move to a much more high-profile division as Podence looks to make his name at the top level.

Nottingham Forest were apparently close to signing the Portuguese U21 international last year with Zero Zero claiming he had held talks with the City Ground outfit, who also have close ties with Mendes.
