Braga starlet Francisco Trincao has been linked with Premier League high-flyers Wolverhampton Wanderers and Serie A champions Juventus.
Reported Wolverhampton Wanderers target Francisco Trincao has remained coy on his future but suggests he would jump at the chance to sign for Juventus, in quotes reported by Mais Futebol.
A 19-year-old forward who plays for Braga in his homeland, Trincao is perhaps the most coveted young talent in Portuguese football behind the Benfica superstar Joao Felix.
And, like Felix, he has been linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Sun reports that Braga are resigned to losing Trincao in the summer, with Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo rating the teenager very highly.
The versatile attacker also has close ties with Jorge Mendes, the Iberian super-agent who was integral to the signings of Rui Patricio, Ruben Neves, Helder Costa and co at Molineux.
Trincao would not come cheap, however, with the Sun reporting that he is worth £13.5 million. Serie A champions Juventus are also reported to be interested.
And the skilful starlet has admitted he would love to play alongside Juve number seven Cristiano Ronaldo, perhaps suggesting a preference for the Turin giants over Wolves.
“I am doing my job. Whether people appreciate me or not, it’s not for me to comment. At the moment I am at Braga and I will do my best for Braga,” Trincao said.
“(But) playing with Cristiano Ronaldo would be a huge source of pride.”
Wolves have shown they are not scared of investing big sums in young, unproven players, signing the likes of Costa, Neves and Ivan Cavaleiro for big money since they were taken over by Chinese billionaires Fosun three years ago.
