It has been a busy few days for Wolverhampton Wanderers, who broke their transfer record for Raul Jimenez this week.

Wolverhampton Wanderers sealed the club-record £30 million signing of Raul Jimenez on Thursday. So the fact that two talented youngsters also completed moves to Molineux understandably went under the radar.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Wolves have signed Ty Barnett from local rivals Birmingham City while Christian Marques has made the trip to the Black Country from Swiss outfit Grasshoppers.
Interestingly, Barnett is the son of former Blues and West Bromwich Albion defender Dave, who started his career at Wolves in the 1980s.
The strikers exit will come as a blow to Birmingham, particularly as Romello Mitchell is also expected to leave St Andrews to join Southampton for a minimal compensation fee of just £300,000, the Birmingham Mail adds.
Marques, meanwhile, is a talented defender who plays for Switzerland at youth level despite his Portuguese background. The centre-back had been one of the stand-out talents of Grasshoppers’ academy since 2017.

Wolves have famously spent big sums on a number of established international players since being taken over by Chinese billionaires Fosun three years ago but that does not mean they have neglected their academy.
In fact, Barnett and Marques are just two of the fresh-faced starlets who they have snapped up in recent months.
