Report: Wolves set to make £27m bid for Milan striker Andre Silva

Serie A giants AC Milan are willing to sell Andre Silva and Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly want him in the Premier League.

It seems that Andre Silva to Wolves is more than just a pipe dream.

The Portuguese international striker has been linked with a move to Molineux since all the way back in January. And, with his AC Milan side potentially set to be sanctioned by Financial Fair Play after missing out on the Champions League, it seems that Silva’s future at the San Siro is more uncertain than ever.

According to the Sun (29 May, page 50), Milan are willing to listen to offers for Silva, who they signed last summer from Porto for £33 million.

And it is understood that Wolves are preparing a £27 million bid which, if accepted, would make Silva their record signing, overtaking the £15.8 million the club paid for his Portuguese teammate Ruben Neves a year ago.

Silva scored just once in Serie A last season as he struggled to make an impact in Italy but remains one of the most highly-rated young goal-scorers on the continent.

The 22-year-old found the net 21 times for Porto to earn that move to Milan and also has 12 goals in 21 games for the Portuguese national side.

He is set to lead the line for Fernando Santos’s European Champions at the World Cup this summer. But will he be a Wolves player by the time the tournament kicks off?
