Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers and Championship side Queens Park Rangers both reportedly want the Kidderminster Harriers man.
Wolverhampton Wanderers might have spent some big fees on some big names since the reign of Fosun and Jorge Mendes began in 2016.
But the current Championship title-holders have also put in place some very exciting plans for the future, with most of their signings aged 23 or under. And the Express and Star reports that another exciting talent is on Wolves’ radar, although this one comes from Kidderminster rather than Benfica or Monaco.
The Express and Star is claiming that Wolves have held initial talks with Kidderminster’s 21-year-old centre-back Fraser Horsfall, who shone in the National League North last season after moving from Huddersfield Town a year ago.
6ft 2ins Horsfall played 43 league games last season, scoring four goals, and it is understood that Wolves are rivalling Queens Park Rangers for his signature. Horsfall would cost around £200,000.
If Horsfall wants immediate first-team football then QPR might be his better option. But it seems that Wolves have already drawn up their plans for the young defender.
The Express and Star adds that Wolves would either loan Horsfall out next season or give him a chance in Rob Edwards’ U23 side. But it is understood that the Midland giants believe Horsfall has the potential to step up to Premier League level, which would make his £200,000 transfer fee certainly worth the risk.
