Spanish striker Rafa Mir was loaned out to Las Palmas after Wolverhampton Wanderers sealed their return to the Premier League.

Rafa Mir has only made two substitute appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers since arriving from Valencia in January. But is his Molineux career over already?
Reports in Spain suggest that could be a possibility. The highly-rated Spanish striker was farmed out to Segunda division side Las Palmas in the summer after Wolves were promoted to the Premier League, and he has certainly made an impression in his first prolonged run in senior football.
Mir has scored four goals in seven league games for promotion-seeking Las Palmas, not to mention five in four games since making his Spain U21 debut in the September international break.
According to La Razon, Wolves are now prepared to cash in. It is understood that they would sell Mir for a fee of £6 million; a decent profit considering they paid £1.5 million for the youngster ten months ago.

The report adds that Mir himself is expecting to be sold, with Wolves planning to bring in a new striker in January; a move that would only push him further down the pecking order. Las Palmas would love to sign him permanently if they are promoted, while Sevilla are also understood to be interested.
Whether this report proves to be accurate remains to be seen. Mir was signed for the future rather than the present, and it would be an odd move to sell a 21-year-old who has looked a cut above during his spell away from the Black Country.
