Therefore, you can only assume that Filip Krovinovic, a 21-year-old midfielder, is a target of new Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo. After all, the Croatian youngster is currently plying his trade at Portuguese side Rio Ave, where Nuno made his name before taking over at Valencia.

According to A Bola, Wolves made an offer of £2.6 million for Krovinovic after an excellent season in the Primera Liga. The youngster, renowned for his rapid dribbling ability and excellent range of passing, hit five goals and laid on another three assists in 2016/17.
One of the standout young players in Portugal last season, Krovinovic purports to add some much needed creativity in central midfield for a Wolves side who scored just 54 goals in 46 Championship games in 2016/17.

However, the report adds that Portuguese champions Benfica are confident that they can get the deal done for Croatia’s next velvet-footed playmaker.
Nonetheless, Krovinovic possesses everything Wolves need in central midfield so they should not accept defeat just yet.
