Premier League giants Liverpool are struggling to tie down Rafael Camacho, who is reportedly a target for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have seen an opening bid worth £8.5 million rejected for Liverpool starlet Rafael Camacho, according to A Bola.
The young Portuguese winger has forced his way into Jurgen Klopp’s plans on the back of some outstanding performances for the U23s this season, making his senior bow in an FA Cup defeat to, ironically enough, Wolves in January – albeit at right-back.
But Camacho’s future at Anfield is uncertain with his contract due to expire in 2020. Sky claims that talks over a near deal have hit an impasse with a number of clubs expressing an interest.
One of those is Wolves, who have made a habit of snapping up the brightest Iberian talents since their Fosun International takeover in 2016.
And A Bola reports that Wolves have put an offer of £8.5 million on the table for the 18-year-old, though this has been rejected by Liverpool. Bundesliga title chasers Borussia Dortmund have also made a similar bid and received an identical response.
Sporting Lisbon, where Camacho started his career as a youngster, are also keen to find out whether he’d be happy to return to the Estadio da Luz.
