Barcelona’s La Liga champion and World Cup star Yerry Mina could be heading to the Premier League and Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested.
The race for Yerry Mina is really hotting up, with a flurry of bids allegedly being made for the Barcelona centre-back.
The Colombian international has been linked with a whole host of clubs this summer and now newly promoted Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the chase, too.
The Sun had claimed on Sunday that Wolves wanted to sign the defender on loan with the promise of some much-needed first-team football at Molineux.
Latest reports from Tuttomercatoweb, however, are stating that Wolves have now taken a different approach, making a bid to sign Mina on a permanent basis.
It is understood that Wolves have offered around £18 million for a player who moved to Barcelona from Palmeiras for just over half that amount in the January transfer window. TMW adds that Mina was dreaming of a move to Arsenal this summer but Wolves are now at the front of the queue.
The 23-year-old was one of the breakout stars at this summer’s World Cup, scoring against Poland, Senegal and England as Colombia reached the round of 16.
But he struggled badly at Barcelona, making just four league starts – one of those being the 5-4 defeat to Levante which was the only domestic defeat suffered by Ernesto Valverde’s side.
