Cedric Soares is struggling on loan at Inter Milan but could reportedly be on his way back to the Premier League with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have emerged as a shock candidate to sign Southampton full-back Cedric Soares in the summer, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.
Cedric has been a Southampton player since he arrived at St Mary’s in 2015 from Sporting Lisbon for a fee of £3.6 million, according to the Guardian, but his future is up in the air with the summer transfer window now just over a month away.
The 27-year-old is currently on loan at Italian giants Inter Milan but he has failed to impress in Serie A. TMW claims that Luciano Spalletti’s side have already decided that they will not take up the option to sign Cedric for £9 million.
As a result, the German-born Iberian will return to Southampton in May with manager Ralph Hasenhuttl seemingly unconvinced. The former RB Leipzig boss decided to loan Cedric out in January after preferring youngster Yann Valery at right-back.

But Wolves could offer Cedric a fresh start, TMW adds, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side on the lookout for an attack-minded right-wing back to provide competition for Matt Doherty. Given that Cedric is a client of Jorge Mendes, Wolves’ interest should come as little surprise.
Cedric won the European Championships in 2016 alongside current Wolves players Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho.
