Signing a new striker has proven to be easier said than done for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

With Leo Bonatini on his way to PAOK, Raul Jimenez will soon be the only natural centre-forward at Nuno Espirito Santo’s disposal.

And after seeing a move for Chelsea’s Aston Villa loanee Tammy Abraham fall apart, The Mail reports that Divock Origi is not Molineux-bound either with Liverpool keen to keep the Belgium international at Anfield.

As a result, Wolves have turned their attention to a 21-year-old forward who is currently plying his trade in the Czech Republic. According to The Mail, Wolves have opened talks with Sparta Prague about potentially signing Benjamin Tetteh.

The Ghanaian, who has scored nine goals in 15 games, has been compared to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba for his physical presence in attack.

It is understood that Sparta Prague have already rejected a £7 million bid from Galatasaray and are demanding closer to £11 million.

Wolves are not the only Premier League side to be linked with Tetteh. According to Football Ghana, Everton, West Ham and Bournemouth are also interested in a January swoop.
