Premier League quartet Everton, Spurs, Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly keeping tabs on Middlesbrough’s player.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in signing England U21 defender Dael Fry with Middlesbrough increasingly concerned that they will have to cash in on a highly-rated academy graduate, as reported by TEAMtalk.
At the age of just 22, Fry is rapidly establishing himself as one of the most talented young centre-backs anywhere in the Football League.
He is one of the first names on Boro’s team sheet this season and it is telling that manager Jonathan Woodgate, a top class defender in his own day, has handed the Middlesbrough-born stopper the captain’s armband on occasions this season.
TEAMtalk claims that a number of Premier League clubs are taking an interest, including Wolves, Everton and Spurs, and the Championship outfit are worried that they will not be able to hold onto their local-lad-made-good.
The report claims that Middlesbrough will be forced to sell if they receive a bid in excess of £20 million – which is a small price to pay for a Wolves, Everton or Tottenham side who have struggled defensively at the start of this season.

Manchester City have been keeping tabs on Fry too and, with the Premier League champions losing John Stones and Aymeric Laporte to long-term injuries, it would be no surprise if they made Fry their latest mega-money signing in the New Year.
Pep Guardiola, the ultimate footballing purist, will certainly admire the ball-playing style that makes Fry stand out in the second tier.
