Dominic Iorfa has not made a Premier League appearance for Wolverhampton Wanderers all season, with clubs in America allegedly keen.

Out-of-favour Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Dominic Iorfa could be heading across the Atlantic before the January transfer window slams shut, according to the Express and Star.

The 23-year-old has barely featured for the Black Country side since Nuno Espirito Santo was appointed as the club’s manager in the summer of 2017. He has made just two appearances for the first-team this season, both coming in the EFL Cup.

So the only surprise about reports suggesting that Iorfa could be on his way is that he has not bid farewell to Molineux sooner.

The Express and Star suggests that the former England U21 international has offers from clubs in the MLS, although it is rare for players at the start of their career to leave England for America.

Should the move come to fruition, Hause will be the second seldom-seen centre-back to leave Wolves this month. Kortney Hause joined Midland neighbours Aston Villa on loan earlier in the window.

The Sun reported in December that Rangers were hoping to sign Iorfa for a bargain £500,000 but it seems that a move to Ibrox is no longer on the cards.
