Pizzi has been in top form for Benfica but could another Mendes client move to Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers?

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ links with Portuguese internationals are nothing new.
Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho, two of the most experienced players in Iberian football, made eye-catching moves to Molineux this summer while Ruben Neves, Ivan Cavaleiro, Diogo Jota and co are also playing in the Black Country.
So it should be no surprise to learn that Wolves are being linked with Benfica’s red-hot attacker Pizzi who, you might have guessed, is another name in Jorge Mendes’ contact book.
Calciomercato claimed this week that Pizzi was on the radar of Wolves after his impressive display in Portugal’s 1-0 win against Italy on Monday. Now Record have provided more information, claiming that Nuno Espirito Santo could make a move for the 28-year-old in January.

It is claimed that Wolves were interested in the former Atletico Madrid and Deportivo midfielder last summer, too.
A natural number ten who has made 11 appearances for his country, Pizzi has started this season in fantastic form. He has scored six goals in eight games in all competitions, including a hat-trick against Vitoria de Guimaraes.
