Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly offered big money to sign Badou Ndiaye from relegated Stoke City.

Stoke City paid £14 million to sign Badou Ndiaye in January but they already look set to make a substantial profit on the Senegal midfielder.

Wolves have been linked with the former Galatasaray ace for a number of weeks now, and Turkish publication Fanatik has claimed that the Premier League newcomers have taken their pursuit of Ndiaye to the next level.

It is understood that cash-rich Wolves have made a bid of £22 million to sign Ndiaye. And although Stoke want to keep a player who has made just 13 league appearances for them, this offer may be too good to turn down.

27-year-old Ndiaye showed some moments of class in a Stoke shirt, particularly when scoring in a 2-1 win against fellow relegation sufferers Swansea City on the final day of last season.

But Wolves obviously believe he has plenty more to offer if they are really willing to break their transfer record for the third time in the last three years. Ndiaye would cost far more than the £15.8 million Wolves paid FC Porto for Ruben Neves in 2017.

Fanatik, however, adds that Ndiaye dreams of playing Champions League football which Wolves, who won the Championship last season, obviously cannot offer right now.

That said, Wolves have history when it comes to enticing big-name targets to Molineux against all expectations.
