Hoffenheim’s Kerem Demirbay has shone in the Bundesliga but could he get a Premier League switch to Wolverhampton Wanderers or West Ham United?
West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined the race to sign Hoffenheim talisman Kerem Demirbay this summer, according to Calciomercato.
Demirbay has been one of the Bundesliga’s stand-out midfielders since he moved to Julian Nagelsmann’s side from Hamburg in 2016, guiding the village side into the Champions League group stages for the first time with some influential performances a year ago.
The German international, who starred as Joachim Low’s side won the Confederations Cup in 2017, has scored four goals and provided nine assists in the current campaign.
And Calciomercato reports that he is now on the radar of Premier League duo West Ham and Wolves, with his ability to dictate play and open up defences from a range of midfield positions likely to give either club some added cutting edge with goals hard to come by in recent weeks.
Bild reported last week that Arsenal are also interested in the one-time Borussia Dortmund youngster, who has a release clause of £22 million in his contract.
Such a fee would also put him within reach of both Wolves and West Ham.
