Stoke City’s relegation from the Premier League should see Badou Ndiaye leave with Leicester City and Championship winners Wolves reportedly interested.

Badou Ndiaye only moved to Stoke City in January for a fee of £14 million, according to the BBC.

But, following the Potters’ relegation from the Premier League, the former Galatasaray midfielder could be on the move again this summer.

The Mail stated recently that Stoke are set to suffer a mass exodus this summer and Ndiaye is likely to follow Jack Butland, Joe Allen, Xherdan Shaqiri and co out of the exit. It is understood the Senegalese powerhouse has a release clause in his contract that will come into effect now Stoke’s relegation has been confirmed.

And Turkish publication Sporx is claiming that there are two Premier League sides who will offer Ndiaye the chance to remain in England’s top flight – Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Both Adrien Silva and Vicente Iborra have endured mixed debut seasons at the King Power Stadium, so Ndiaye would offer some extra depth in midfield and perhaps a more fitting partner for the excellent Wilfred Ndidi.

Wolves, meanwhile, appear determined to strengthen in the centre of the park with Joe Allen, Yaya Toure and Rio Ave’s Pele all linked recently.

It is uncertain how much Ndiaye would cost but Wolves, whose owners have a fortune in the billions, should have no trouble paying the fee.

Ndiaye forged a reputation in Turkey as a goal-scoring midfielder but only netted twice in 29 league games for Galatasaray and Stoke across 2017/18.
