David Moyes wants Swansea City’s Alfie Mawson or Brighton’s Lewis Dunk at Premier League West Ham United – what does this mean for Winston Reid?

Only academy graduate and club captain Mark Noble has been wearing claret and blue longer than Reid, who joined The Hammers back in 2010 from Danish outfit FC Midtjylland after impressing for New Zealand at the 2010 World Cup.
But Reid’s form has declined this season with West Ham conceding the most goals in the Premier League bar Stoke City as things stand. He suffered a knee injury in the 4-1 defeat to Swansea City in March and won’t play again this season.

And the Daily Star reports that Moyes is putting together plans to sign a commanding centre-half in the summer with Swansea City’s Alfie Mawson and Brighton’s influential Lewis Dunk at the top of his wishlist.
Mawson, who was recently handed his first England call-up by Gareth Southgate, would cost a club-record £40 million. Dunk, however, is understood to be a little cheaper but has four own goals to his name this season.

And the report has suggested that Reid is facing an uncertain future at the London Stadium. The 29-year-old vice captain is on ‘borrowed time’ and could possibly follow the out-of-contract James Collins in leaving this summer.
If Dunk or Mawson arrive, Reid could find himself behind them, Angelo Ogbonna and Declan Rice in the pecking order.
