West Ham United could reportedly let Reece Oxford leave the Premier League club with a return to the Bundesliga a possibility.

So much for Reece Oxford being the next great talent to emerge out of West Ham United’s famous academy.
The teenager was tipped for the very top and compared to the great Rio Ferdinand after shining on his debut against Arsenal in the opening game of the 2015/16 season. Oxford, who was just 16 years old at the time, performed with poise, composure and real maturity in the centre of midfield.
In the three years since, however, Oxford has made just seven more Premier League appearances while spending forgettable spells at Reading and Borussia Monchengladbach on loan.
And now, Football London is reporting that West Ham are prepared to sell the now-19-year-old this summer – as long as they receive an offer in excess of £10 million.
It is understood that Oxford was happy with life at Gladbach, whom he played eight times for in 2017/18. And the Bundesliga club would be keen to bring the England U20 international back to Borussia Park.

The report adds that West Ham’s new manager Manuel Pellegrini is happy with his defensive options, having brought in Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena to compete with Declan Rice, Angelo Ogbonna and the currently crocked Winston Reid.
But if Oxford leaves before his 20th birthday, West Ham fans would be forgiven for wondering what might have been.
