Premier League strugglers West Ham United have already been linked with Aleksandar Mitrovic, Tom Cairney and Ryan Fredericks from Fulham.
To say that West Ham United are planning a summer raid of their London rivals Fulham might be an understatement. It seems that the Hammers would sign half of Slavisa Jokanovic’s squad if given the opportunity.
After claims that David Moyes was present at Craven Cottage during Fulham’s 2-0 win against Leeds United to watch Aleksandar Mitrovic, Tom Cairney and Ryan Fredericks, another Fulham player is now reported to be in West Ham’s sights.
The Sun states that Moyes has been impressed by goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli, who has been one of the most underrated shot-stoppers in the Championship this season.
The 25-year-old, who joined Fulham’s youth team all the way back in 2011, has established himself ahead of David Button as the club’s number one in recent months and has started 20 league games in 2017/18.
And the report claims that if Fulham fail to navigate the play-offs for the second season running, West Ham will try and tempt Bettinelli away from Craven Cottage with the offer of Premier League football – should Moyes’ side stay up of course.
It is interesting to note that Bettinelli could be seen as West Ham’s next first-choice goalkeeper.
Joe Hart’s loan spell from Manchester City will come to an end very soon and Adrian, who is again out of favour, has been linked with a return to former club Real Betis, as reported by AS.
This would leave West Ham without a recognised first-team stopper.
