Danny Drinkwater is stuck at Chelsea but Premier League trio West Ham United, Southampton and Leicester City could come to his rescue.

Danny Drinkwater did not manage to secure a move away from Chelsea during the summer transfer window and that means one thing: we are unlikely to see much of him between now and the New Year.
The former Leicester City man made just six Premier League starts in 2017/18 and appears to be even further down the pecking order with Ruben Loftus-Cheek impressing and Jorginho now at Stamford Bridge. He has not featured in the league at all and managed just 30 minutes in the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City.
And reports in the Express are claiming that rival Premier League clubs are already planning to rescue Drinkwater in January, less than a month after the summer window slammed shut.
The report claims that West Ham United and Southampton wanted to sign the £30 million man in the summer and could make a move to sign him on loan in four months.

West Ham could certainly do with a combative central midfielder judging by the displays of Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez, who was at fault for Wolves’ late winner on Saturday, since their arrivals at the London Stadium.
The Express adds that Leicester City tried to bring Drinkwater back to the King Power Stadium and are continuing to keep tabs after failing to agree a deal with Chelsea.
