Florian Thauvin could reportedly return to the Premier League with West Ham United after a fine Ligue 1 spell with Marseille.

West Ham United have launched a staggering bid to sign Marseille winger Florian Thauvin, according to Tuttomercatoweb, offering £36 million while including want-away striker Javier Hernandez as part of the deal.
Now, Thauvin doesn’t exactly have a sparkling reputation in England. He flopped spectacularly after joining Newcastle United for £13 million four years ago (the Mail), making just 13 Premier League appearances before returning to France.
Since then, however, Thauvin has gone from strength to strength to really rub Newcastle’s noses in it. He’s a World Cup winner these days while scoring 59 goals in the last three seasons, including 18 for a struggling Marseille side in 2018/19.
With that in mind, the 26-year-old is certainly a player capable of taking West Ham to the next level and forging a formidable partnership with Filipe Anderson on the wings.

Tuttomercatoweb report that The Hammers have made an eye-watering bid worth £36 million while veteran striker Hernandez has been offered in exchange. Considering Marseille are crying out for a goalscorer after Mario Balotelli’s contract expired, this could be too good to turn down – particularly as Thauvin has made his desire to leave the Stade Velodrome very clear of late.
“We’ve been poor this season,” he said in April.
“It’s the same story every season. I’m fed up. For a top-three finish, it’s over. And even if we get into Champions League, what’s the point? We’re rubbish.”
