Samir Nasri looks set to be handed a contract at West Ham United, with Manuel Pellegrini keen to improve his Premier League squad.

The trail has gone a little cold around Samir Nasri of late, but it seems West Ham United are edging closer to making a decision about whether or not to hand the free agent a contract.
The 31-year-old has been without a club since being released by Antalyaspor 11 months ago but, after serving a doping ban, will be free to resume his career in the New Year.
Nasri has been training with West Ham for a number of weeks as he aims to get his footballing life back on track and a reunion with Manuel Pellegrini, who got the best out of the mercurial Frenchman at Manchester City, is on the cards.
According to the Standard, Nasri is now set to be offered a deal after the stricken summer signing Jack Wilshere was ruled out for another month at the very least.

Wilshere has played five minutes of Premier League football since September and, after suffering yet another ankle injury, could even be unavailable until the end of the season if he needs to undergo an operation.
As a result, the Standard reports that Pellegrini wants to add some creativity to his midfield in the Englishman’s absence and is now more likely than ever to give Nasri a short-term deal until May.
