Lyon’s Ligue 1 coach Bruno Genesio has been linked with West Ham United.

West Ham United appear to be considering the future of manager Manuel Pellegrini with the Londoners keeping tabs on Bruno Genesio’s situation at Lyon, according to RMC Sport.
West Ham looked to have pulled off a considerable coup last summer when they lured former Manchester City and Real Madrid boss Pellegrini to the London Stadium.
But the Chilean’s reign has been decidedly mixed so far. The Hammers are eleventh in the Premier League table, five points away from the final Europa League spot, and were humiliated in the FA Cup by League One AFC Wimbledon.
And Pellegrini’s future could be in doubt, with RMC Sport claiming that West Ham are looking at Lyon coach Genesio with just a few weeks left in the season.
The 52-year-old has been Lyon’s manager since 2015 and continues to divide supporters.
Genesio has got the best out of attacking talents like Nabil Fekir, Memphis Depay and Mariano Diaz while securing famous wins against PSG and Manchester City, although any progress has been checked by some seriously underwhelming defeats against lesser opposition.

Lyon lost 3-2 to Rennes in the Coupe de France semi-final this week and Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas admitted after the game that Genesio’s future had been cast into doubt.
The report adds that Newcastle United are also interested but, as things stand, Rafa Benitez looks set to stay at St James’ Park.
