West Ham United are reportedly hopeful of signing £35m striker Callum Wilson from Premier League rivals Bournemouth.

West Ham United are hopeful that they can convince Callum Wilson to leave Bournemouth for the London Stadium by offering the England striker a substantial pay rise, according to the Mirror (27 June, page 65).
Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll have already left West Ham this summer while Javier Hernandez revealed earlier this week that the club have agreed to let him go too, speaking to the Naked Humans on YouTube.
So it should be no surprise that a new centre-forward is at the top of West Ham’s summer wishlist. And after hitting the wall in their pursuit of Salomon Rondon, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Maxi Gomez, The Mirror believes that the Londoners have turned their attention to Wilson.
The 27-year-old enjoyed the best season of his career in 2018/19, netting 14 Premier League goals and also opening his account at international level.

But The Mirror reports that Wilson is considering whether or not to stay at Bournemouth as he approaches the peak years of his career. And the prospect of a massive pay rise at West Ham might just tempt him to join Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham revolution.
The Sun claimed last week that West Ham were prepared to offer £35 million and, given that Wilson is proven in the Premier League and has the potential to get even better, he could be worth every penny.
