Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy of Everton could reportedly be offered a fresh Premier League start with West Ham United.

One year after suffering that horrific broken leg, James McCarthy could bid farewell to Everton.
According to the Mail, the Toffees are willing to loan out the Republic of Ireland international this month, with a number of clubs keen to offer the former Wigan Athletic enforcer a fresh start.
It is understood that Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Fulham and West Brom are all interested in McCarthy, who has not made a single Premier League appearance in 12 months.
The Mail adds that the 28-year-old has admirers at West Ham, too, but it seems others at the London Stadium are far from convinced.
The Hammers have suffered from a series of injuries this season, particularly in midfield, with Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez missing most of the campaign after arriving from Arsenal and Fiorentina respectively.

The report acknowledges that West Ham are fans of McCarthy but have their reservations as they don’t want any more injury-hit players.
Before breaking his leg, the tough-tackling midfielder missed two months with a hamstring injury and has also spent time on the sidelines due to groin and knee problems. McCarthy moved to Everton for £13 million six years ago, as reported by the Mail.
