Premier League outfit West Ham United are reportedly set to sign Boavista’s Goncalo Cardoso.

West Ham United are planning to promote Goncalo Cardoso to Manuel Pellegrini’s first-team squad once he seals his £2.8 million move to the London Stadium, according to Football London.
With The Hammers snapping up a top quality centre-forward in Sebastian Haller and one of Spain’s brightest talents in Pablo Fornals, the impending addition of an 18-year-old from Boavista is likely to go under the radar.
But it seems that West Ham have very high hopes for teenager Cardoso, regardless of his age and relative inexperience.
He has made just 15 Primeira Liga appearances for Boavista but Pellegrini and co have obviously seen enough already.
Football London reports that West Ham have no plans to put Cardoso in the reserves. Instead, a defender who has apparently caught the eye of Inter Milan and Benfica will immediately become part of their first-team squad in order to fight for a place in the starting XI.

Obviously, the Hammers think Cardoso has got something quite special.
The Portugal U19 international, who will join compatriots Xande Silva and Mesaque Dju at West Ham, will be only the second West Ham centre-half who favours his left-foot. This certainly won’t harm his chances of a role in Pellegrini’s first-team plans in going forward.
