Reported West Ham United target Andre Gomes is keen to play in the Premier League but what does this mean about the La Liga champions’ Quina hopes?

After a year of links, West Ham United appear to be closer than ever to finally signing the Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.
According to Esport 3 on Friday, West Ham have made a firm offer for the Portugal international and have entered negotiations with the current La Liga champions.
It is reported that Manuel Pellegrini is a big fan of a player who has looked a shadow of his Valencia peak since his £30 million move to the Camp Nou two years ago.
And latest reports in Mundo Deportivo suggest that West Ham have a trump card as they attempt to beat off competition for Gomes’s signature.
It is claimed that Barcelona are very interested in the Hammers’ 19-year-old Domingos Quina and scouted him during Portugal’s successful European U19 Championship campaign in Finland this summer.

The former Benfica youngster has just a year left on his contract and Mundo Deportivo believe that he could be included in any deal that would see Gomes swap Catalonia for London.
25-year-old Gomes is reported to be interested in a move to the Premier League, and West Ham’s willingness to pay a fee gives them an advantage over his former club Valencia, who would prefer to re-sign him on loan.
