West Ham United could step in if Premier League rivals Newcastle United do not snap up West Brom’s Rondon on a permanent basis.

West Ham United are circling with Salomon Rondon facing an uncertain future at Newcastle, according to the Northern Echo.
The 29-year-old striker is on loan at Newcastle from West Bromwich Albion and has impressed on Tyneside, taking his tally to nine Premier League goals for the season with a sublime free-kick against Bournemouth before the international break.
But, with Newcastle owner Mike Ashley often unwilling to offer long-term deals for players at the latter stages of their career, doubts persist about whether Rondon, who will turn 30 in September, will be allowed to stay.
West Ham could allegedly step in, with Manuel Pellegrini’s side seemingly having no problems with signing more experienced targets. The Hammers are set to release Andy Carroll in the summer and the Venezuelan target man could be his immediate replacement.

It is claimed that West Brom want a minimum of £16 million for the former Malaga and Zenit St Petersburg striker, who scored in Venezuela’s 3-1 win against Argentina over the international break.
The Daily Star believes that Everton are also interested in landing Rondon in the summer.
