Xande Silva is reportedly heading to the Premier League with West Ham United from Primeira Liga outfit Vitoria Guimaraes.

It has been a very busy summer for West Ham United in the transfer market, with over £100 million spent on seven new signings. Although that number could be eight very soon.

According to Record, West Ham have agreed a deal to sign Portuguese starlet Xande Silva from Primeira Liga side Vitoria Guimaraes for a fee that could rise to around £3 million.

The 21-year-old is an attacking midfielder who has been part of Vitoria’s first-team squad for the last three seasons, although most of his game time has come with the club’s B team.

It is reported that he will initially join up with West Ham’s U23 side, where he could play in midfield alongside another Portuguese talent in 19-year-old Domingos Quina.

Quina, who won the European U19 Champions with Portugal after a dramatic 4-3 win against Italy, has been heavily linked with a move away from the London Stadium with Barcelona sending scouts to watch him recently.

But the Mail states that West Ham want to tie Quina down to a long-term deal with just 12 months left on his current contract.

Xande Silva, meanwhile, has a deal up until 2021 at Vitoria Guimareas and a release clause in his contract worth around £13 million. But it seems that West Ham are about to land the skilful attacker for a much lower fee.
