West Bromwich Albion are set to make their first signing of the summer transfer window with Owen Windsor on his way to The Hawthorns, according to the Gloucester Live.

A teenage striker who can play up front or on the left wing, Windsor currently plays for Cirencester Town in the Southern League Division One South. One of the most highly-rated young talents anywhere in Non-League, he has scored six goals in 15 games since making his senior debut last year.

Windsor has been scouted by Premier League giants Chelsea in recent months so, while he is hardly a household name, West Brom fans should be very excited by his rumoured arrival.

Gloucester Live claims that The Baggies is close to agreeing a deal with the Midland outfit with the one-time Southampton youngster heading to The Hawthorns despite apparent interest from the reigning Europa League champions.

It remains to be seen whether Windsor has a part to play in West Brom’s first team next season or whether he will be used in the club’s youth teams for the next few months.
