Matej Vydra could reportedly return to West Bromwich Albion from Championship rivals Derby County after a 2013/14 spell at The Hawthorns.

If West Bromwich Albion want a goal-scorer who is proven at Championship level, there are few better options than Matej Vydra.
The Czech striker is the league’s reigning Golden Boot winner after all, scoring a division-high 21 goals for Derby County in the 2017/18 season. This was the second time Vydra had broken the 20-goal barrier in English football’s second tier.
It is understood that West Brom are preparing a formal offer for the former Watford and Reading man, who is expected to cost around £11 million.

The report adds, that the Baggies would only be willing to pay such a fee if they sell either Salomon Rondon or Jay Rodriguez. The former, who has a £16.5 million release clause in his contract, wants a move to the Premier League while the latter is keen on a return to Burnley.
Vydra would be a fine replacement for a side who are keen to escape the Championship at the first attempt.
The former Udinese striker had a loan spell at The Hawthorns in the 2013/14 season, scoring just three times in 25 games in all competitions. It is understood that he would demand wages of around £35,000 a week.
