West Bromwich Albion have been in talks to sign Moore from Sheffield United and are now reportedly stepping up their pursuit.

West Bromwich Albion have already signed two goalkeepers this summer. Sam Johnstone has arrived from Manchester United for £6 million after a fine loan spell at local rivals Aston Villa while Jonathan Bond has been snapped up on a free from Peterborough United.
But that does not mean that Simon Moore won’t be heading to The Hawthorns too.
The Express and Star claimed on Sunday that West Brom had entered talks to sign the 28-year-old from Sheffield United.
Moore was in and out of the Blades’ team last season and it is understood that, should he stay at Brammal Lane, he will start 2018/19 as the second choice behind newcomer Dean Henderson.
And new reports from The Mail (live blog, 9.54am) are stating that West Brom have now made a bid for the goalkeeper – though it remains uncertain whether or not Sheffield United would be willing to sell.

Moore was a regular as Chris Wilder’s side cruised to the League One title in 2016/17 but would surely find first-team football difficult to come by at West Brom.
Johnstone was arguably the Championship’s most impressive goalkeeper last season as Aston Villa reached the play-off final. So, on paper, he should walk into Darren Moore’s starting XI.
