Former Wolves winger Bakary Sako is reportedly set to return to the Championship and the Midlands with Darren Moore’s West Bromwich Albion.

Bakary Sako looks set for a return to the Midlands.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers winger remains a free agent, but has been offered the chance to get his career back on track with local rivals West Bromwich Albion.
According to the Express and Star on Friday, the 30-year-old is on trial with the Baggies, who have already signed one free agent outside the transfer window in former Norwich play-maker Wes Hoolahan.
“We’ve just been having a look. He’s wanted to come in and train and we’ve had a look at his fitness,” Darren Moore said of the Mali international, who left Crystal Palace upon the expiry of his contract at the end of last season.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Sako is closing in on earning a contract with West Brom. It is claimed that talks are now at an advanced stage between the two parties and Sako is already looking for places to live in the Midlands.
If Sako rediscovers the form that saw him score and assist 23 Championship goals at Wolves in 2015/16, West Brom will look like an increasingly fearsome opponent for their second tier rivals.
Moore’s high-flyers beat Millwall 2-0 on Saturday, meaning they are now third in the table having scored a league-high 22 goals.
