Wes Hoolahan was released by Norwich City in July but could reportedly be offered a Championship lifeline by Darren Moore’s West Bromwich Albion.

After 352 appearances, 53 goals and three separate promotions, there is little doubt that Wes Hoolahan is a modern day legend at Norwich City. But the veteran midfielder could potentially line up against The Canaries later this season.
Because the East Anglian Daily Times are reporting that Hoolahan is on trial at Championship rivals West Bromwich Albion with a view to earning a contract at the Hawthorns.
The 36-year-old is a free agent having seen his decade-long stint at Carrow Road come to an end in July. And it is no secret that West Brom boss Darren Moore wants one more creative midfielder to complete his high-flying squad.
The Baggies failed with a stunning £15 million deadline-day bid for Blackburn Rovers talisman Bradley Dack, according to The Sun. And Hoolahan would be a much cheaper alternative, albeit a short-term one.
It was expected that the former Republic of Ireland international would drop down to League One with Oxford United, Peterborough and Fleetwood Town all keen on signing him.

But the EADT believes that West Brom are now in pole position.
Hoolahan, a diminutive little playmaker blessed with quick feet and bags of creativity, scored and assisted 17 Championship goals as recently as the 2016/17 season.
