Argentina international Cristian Pavon could reportedly be heading to the Premier League with Watford.

Watford are targeting an ambitious deal to sign Boca Juniors forward Cristian Pavon this summer, according to TYC Sports.
Javi Gracia’s side enjoyed a fine 2018/19 season despite that 6-0 thrashing by Manchester City in the FA Cup final, finishing eleventh in the Premier League with the likes of Gerard Deulofeu, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Roberto Perreyra producing some stellar displays.
And reports from South America suggest that Watford are keen to add another exciting talent to an already impressive squad.
Pavon has been highly-rated in his native Argentina for some time with Barcelona superstar and national team captain Lionel Messi one of his biggest fans.
“I’ve found a new partner in Pavón, he’s a really good player,” Messi said in quotes reported by AS last year when talking about his Albiceleste team-mate.
“He’s not only really quick, but his decision-making is also excellent.”

Pavon was in the form of his life when Messi made those claims ahead of the Russian World Cup, producing 19 assists in 40 games for Boca Juniors.
The 23-year-old struggled to build on that form during the 2018/19 season, however, though this could potentially give Watford the chance to snap up a player who has previously been linked with some of Europe’s established superclubs.
TYC adds that Boca could demand around £43 million, though The Hornets will want Pavon for a lot less.
