Premier League Watford are reportedly looking at Ligue 1 for a new striker with Bordeaux’s Kamano and Guingamp’s Thuram in demand.

Francois Kamano’s fine form this season has resulted in plenty of links to Premier League clubs.

Calciomercato have claimed that Newcastle United, Everton and Brighton are all interested in the 22-year-old, who has hit 11 goals in 30 games for Bordeaux in 2018/19.

But a new name has emerged on Tuesday – Javi Gracia’s Watford.

France Football are reporting that The Hornets are big fans of Kamano and are willing to offer a fee of around £15 million. That is unlikely to see Bordeaux cash in, however, with Les Girondins valuing the versatile forward at closer to £23 million.

This means Watford would probably have to break their transfer record to bring Kamano to Vicarage Road.

Though the Guinean is not the only young Ligue 1 striker on Watford’s radar. France Football reports that they are also interested in Marcus Thuram, the 21-year-old son of legendary Barcelona and Juventus defender Lillian.

Thuram has scored eight times this season, including a last-gasp penalty as Guingamp stunned PSG away from home in the Coupe de la Ligue last week.

The Sun reported on Monday that he is also on the radar of Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United so the chances of Watford getting him could be slim.
