Premier League high-flyers Watford appear to be trying to bring the new Richarlison to Vicarage Road.

Watford are keen to sign another Brazilian starlet in the shape of Corinthians forward Gustavo, according to TEAMtalk.

The Hornets famously brought a little known forward by the name of Richarlison to Vicarage Road in the summer of 2017 before selling him to Everton 12 months later for £50 million (BBC).

It seems that Watford are keen to repeat that success with Gustavo emerging on their radar.

A 24-year-old striker, Gustavo spent last season on loan at Fortaleza in the Brazilian second tier last season and scored 14 goals in 28 matches. And it seems this form has caught the eye of Javi Gracia’s side, who are seventh in the Premier League table and eyeing a place in Europa after battering Cardiff City 5-1 in South Wales on Friday.

Interestingly, TEAMtalk adds that Watford are also interested in Lincoln (above), an 18-year-old attacker who also plays in Brazil for Flamengo.

Despite failing to score in 13 games for Flamengo last season, it is understood that Lincoln is valued at a massive £30 million. It remains to be seen whether Watford are willing to pay so much more than they invested in Richarlison two years ago.
