Youssouf Mulumbu played just one Scottish Premiership game at Celtic and could now be on his way to Ligue 1 with Dijon or Nimes.

Youssouf Mulumbu could be on his way to France after being released by Celtic, with Foot RDC claiming that Ligue 1 duo Nimes and Dijon are interested in the veteran midfielder.
Just one year after sealing arguably the biggest move of his career, Mulumbu is once again on the lookout for employment.
The former West Brom and Norwich City enforcer really struggled to make an impact in the famous green and white hoops, making just one appearance for Celtic before returning to Kilmarnock on loan for the second half of the campaign.
It was no real surprise when Neil Lennon decided against keeping Mulumbu at the club, releasing the 32-year-old DR Congo international at the end of June.
And, after two months paddling in the free agent pool, the one-time PSG youngster could apparently be on his way back to France.
Dijon avoided relegation after beating Lens in a two-legged play-off while Nimes raised eyebrows with a staggering ninth place finish. Foot DRC believes that both clubs could now offer Mulumbu a fresh start.

Two games into the Scottish Premiership season, it is fair to say Celtic haven’t missed one of Brendan Rodgers’ last signings so far, though Scott Brown isn’t getting any younger and The Hoops will one day need to sign a youthful alternative to knit the play in the centre of the park.
Mulumbu, however, was never going to be that.
