Oguzhan Ozyakup was let go by Arsenal in 2012 but the Besiktas midfielder could be heading back to the Premier League with Spurs keen.

Oguzhan Ozyakup started his professional career in North London and could return there this summer.
Turkish publication Aksam claims that the former Arsenal youngster is still on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur – a year after The Express noted Spurs’ interest in a player who managed just three appearances for The Gunners before being let go in 2012.
Ozyakup blossomed at Beskitas last year, his creativity and goal threat from central midfield helping Senol Gunes’ side to the league title. Despite a difficult 2017/18, in which he has failed to score in all competitions, the 25-year-old is still a man in demand with Everton, Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund all hot on his trail.

And Ozyakup is facing an uncertain future at Besiktas. He is due to become a free agent in the summer but Aksam points out that he could sign a new contract with a £10.5 million release clause.
This would still make him affordable for Tottenham and co, while ensuring Besiktas earn a decent sum of money for one of their star players.

The report states that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to bring the dynamic and vibrant Ozyakup back to The Emirates this summer so Tottenham would be rubbing salt into the wounds if they win the race for a player The Gunners sold for around £500,000, according to Turkish Football.
