Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly willing to pay £43m to bring Roma’s Serie A starlet Nicolo Zaniolo to the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur are stepping up their interest in Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo and scouted him during Sunday’s 2-0 Serie A victory against Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico, according to Calciomercato.
Zaniolo has been a revelation during his debut season in the Italian capital, joining the Giallarossi as part of a player-plus-swap deal with Inter Milan. Radja Nainngolan went in the other direction.
Tuttosport claimed a fortnight ago that Pep Guardiola wants to bring the 19-year-old to Manchester City but Tottenahm are willing to shatter their transfer record to snap up one of Europe’s most highly rated young midfielders.
The report stated that a £43 million bid was being prepared. And it would be no surprise if the offer was made official after Spurs watched Zaniolo produce another impressive performance against none other than Serie A champions Juventus at the weekend.

The Italy international played the full 90 minutes as goals from Edin Dzeko and Alessandro Florenzi kept Roma’s Champions League hopes alive with a 2-0 win against Max Allegri’s out-of-sorts team.
Zaniolo has been compared to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba for his dynamic, skilful performances by Italy coach Roberto Mancini, speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport.
