Fulham are demanding £40 million for Ryan Sessegnon this summer but long-time suitors Tottenham Hotspur are only willing to pay £25 million for one of their top targets, as reported by the Mail.

Like so many of Fulham’s talented squad, Sessegnon disappointed in the club’s disastrous Premier League campaign which came to an end when they were relegated on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old was arguably England’s most coveted young talent a year ago after scoring 16 goals and providing eight assists as the Cottagers earned promotion back to the top flight, winning the EFL Player of the Year award as a result.

But Sessegnon has struggled to live up to lofty expectations since making the step up, although a tally of six assists from left-back is impressive.

Nonetheless, Spurs apparently still want to bring the teenager to North London and are willing to pay £25 million. The Mail claims that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will make a ‘huge effort’ to sign the England U21 international.

But they might have to add another £15 million to their bid to tempt Fulham into a sale. Despite the fact that Sessegnon has just 12 months left on his contract, the West London outfit are demanding £40 million with Tottenham expected to make an offer in the near future.

The report adds that PSG are also interested.
